Jack Nelson received his Ph.D. in philosophy from the University of Chicago and is currently Dean of the Graduate School and Professor of Philosophy at Temple University. He has developed software for teaching logic and has published articles in personal identity, epistemology, and philosophy of science.

Roberts has a long and distinguished career as reporter and editor. He wasexecutive editor of the New York Times and the Philadelphia Inquirer. He has won 17 Pulizer Prizes. He now teaches in the College of Journalism at the University of Maryland.

As medical director of Reach Out and Read, she encourages other pediatricians to foster pre-reading skills in their young patients.
